The Phoenix Ranch preschool and pre-kindergarten is NAEYC accredited. The National Association for the Education of Young Children sets professional standards for early childhood education programs. NAEYC accreditation helps families identify high-quality programs for their young children. We conduct three programs for the younger child: |
| |
| • |
The three-year-old program (2.9 years of age and potty-trained) |
| • |
The pre kindergarten program (3.9 years of age and entering kindergarten in the following September) |
| • |
The junior kindergarten (children who will narrowly miss the age qualification for kindergarten – 5 years by December 3 or children qualified by age but perhaps lacking in maturity or skills for regular kindergarten). |
|
| |
All programs are developmentally appropriate, incorporating the High Scope Curriculum guidelines and adopted standards. Children participate in a variety of activities within a nurturing and caring environment. Teachers demonstrate patience, compassion, and love for our young students. Each teacher conducts a class with 10-12 students.
The faculty is highly qualified. Preschool, pre-kindergarten, and junior kindergarten teachers at The Phoenix Ranch School hold an Associate of Arts or Bachelor's degree in Child Development or related field.
Full and part-time programs are offered Monday through Friday, from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM. Two, three, four, or five-day attendance patterns are available. The program includes snacks and lunch, all supervision, and twice weekly music class with our music teacher.
